Indoor vs outdoor vs trailerable
Indoor covers are lightweight and breathable, made to keep dust off a sled stored in a garage or shed. Outdoor covers use waterproof, UV-resistant fabric to handle snow, ice and sun when the sled sits outside. Trailerable covers are the toughest of the three, cut and reinforced to stay put at highway speed without flapping or tearing on the way to the trail.

Getting the right fit
Match the cover to your sled's length and style, since a long-track touring sled needs more coverage than a short trail sled. Look for a snug elastic hem, vents to stop condensation, and straps or buckles to lock it down in wind. A trailerable cover is worth it if you haul your sled rather than ride from home.
