Inferno Cab Heaters

UTV & Side-by-Side Cab Heater Finder

Cab heaters for UTVs and side-by-sides, whether you call it a SxS or a side x side. Pick your machine and we'll match the exact direct-fit kit.

Kits are model-specific. If your machine has a glovebox subwoofer, a factory wiper kit or upgraded audio, pick the matching option in the model list, since those kits route the ducting differently.

What's in the kit

Every kit is a complete direct-fit package: heater core, SPAL multi-speed blower, hoses, clamps, mounting brackets, defrost and floor louvres, ductwork and wiring, all hidden from sight and switched from your factory dash holes.

Matched to your machine

Find the exact Inferno cab heater kit for your UTV or side-by-side. Fitment is matched against the current Inferno application data for Arctic Cat, Bobcat, Can-Am, CFMOTO, Honda, John Deere, Kawasaki, Kubota, Polaris and Yamaha.

Cab heater buying guide

Warm cab, clear glass, no guesswork

A cold ride ends the season early for a lot of riders. An Inferno kit turns a closed cab into a warm one using heat your engine already makes. Pick your machine above for the exact kit, or open a section below if you're still deciding whether a heater makes sense for your setup.

How a UTV cab heater works

Your engine already makes more heat than it needs. An Inferno kit taps the coolant lines and runs that hot coolant through a compact aluminum heater core. A SPAL multi-speed blower pushes air across the core and out the vents, with a share sent up the windshield for defrost.

Standard kits are rated at 18,000 BTU. MAXX kits use a bigger blower and step up to 20,000. The only thing drawing power is the fan, so your battery barely notices.

Do you need a full cab enclosure?

For real heat, yes. Doors, a hard windshield, a roof and a rear panel turn the cab into a space the heater can actually fill. With open sides or a soft windshield, the warm air goes straight out the back and you mostly feel it on your shins.

Riding open right now? Sort the enclosure first, then add the heater.

Installing an Inferno kit: time and tools

Plan on an afternoon with basic hand tools. The kit is built for one machine, so the brackets line up and the switch drops into a factory dash hole. The work is mounting the core and blower, tapping the coolant lines, routing hoses and ducts, and wiring the switch.

Have coolant on hand to top up, then run it and check for leaks before the first ride. Not keen on wrenching? Any powersports shop can handle it.

Inferno vs factory heater kits

Factory heater kits from the big brands often run over $1,200. Inferno kits start at $867.99 here and do the same job: coolant-fed heat with defrost, built for your exact machine, made in Humboldt, Iowa.

The factory kit makes sense if you want one part number on a dealer invoice. For everyone else, the difference buys a good chunk of a cab enclosure.

Cab heater questions

Before you order

Does my machine need a full cab for the heater to work?

For real heat, yes: doors, a hard windshield, a roof and a rear panel. With open sides most of it blows straight out. More on that in the buying guide above.

How hard is the install?

If you're handy with hand tools and coolant hoses, it's an afternoon job, and everything is built for your machine so there's no fabrication. Full rundown in the buying guide above.

Will it drain my battery?

No more than a fan would. The heat comes from your engine's coolant, the same way a truck heater works, so the only thing drawing power is the blower motor. The engine needs to be up to temperature before you get real heat.

Will it heat the passenger side too?

Yes. The ducting feeds vents across the cab and up the windshield, so the whole cab warms up, not just the driver. How fast depends on how well sealed your cab is.

How long does it take to warm the cab?

As long as your engine takes to warm up. The heat comes from coolant, so on a cold start you get real heat once the temp gauge climbs, and it holds as long as you're running.

Will it keep the windshield clear?

That's the defrost side of the kit. Part of the airflow goes up the glass to clear fog and light frost. It works on a hard windshield in a closed cab, and can't do much for a soft one.

What warranty comes with it?

Inferno covers the heater against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from purchase, for the original buyer. Keep your DRIVEN receipt, since a claim needs proof of purchase.

My machine isn't listed, or I'm not sure which version I have. What now?

Kits are model-specific, and some machines have more than one. If yours has a glovebox subwoofer, a factory wiper kit or upgraded audio, pick that option in the model list, since those kits route the ducting differently.

Still not sure, or don't see your machine? Ask our gear experts with your make, model and year and we will check Inferno's fitment for you.
