Heated grips and thumb warmers

Heated grips are the biggest cold-weather upgrade you can make to a machine. Match the kit to your handlebar diameter (7/8" or 1") and your throttle type. Twist-throttle kits suit motorcycles and dirt bikes. ATVs and sleds with a thumb throttle need a thumb-throttle kit, ideally paired with a thumb warmer. If you would rather keep your current grips, clamp-on and wrap-style heaters add heat over the top.

Heated clothing: 12V or battery

Decide first how you want your gear powered. 12V pieces wire into your machine for steady heat with no runtime limit, which suits long highway and trail days. Check your machine's charging output before running several 12V pieces at once. 7V battery-powered gear runs on its own, so the same jacket or gloves work on the bike, on the sled or out on the ice. Wear heated layers over a thin moisture-wicking base layer and under your shell to trap the heat where you need it.
