NCY Scooter Performance

NCY is a scooter performance name, with racing cylinder heads for the GY6 150, plus frame sliders, handlebar adaptors and the hardware that goes into a Ruckus or GY6 build.

Head work is where a GY6 build either wakes up or gets fussy, because the head has to suit the cam and the carb it is fed by. Tell us what is already on the engine and we will make sure the parts agree with each other.

Will an NCY racing head fit a stock GY6 150? It bolts to the platform, but the result depends on the cam and carburetion already fitted. Tell us the current setup and we will flag what else it needs.

Do I need different valve clearances after a head swap? Yes, set the clearances after fitting rather than assuming the old figures carry over. It is the step most often skipped and the usual cause of a rough idle afterwards.
