What comes in a Hot Rods bottom end kit? A complete crankshaft assembly plus main bearings, seals and the gaskets needed to close the cases. It saves sourcing five part numbers separately and means everything in the bottom end is new at the same time.
Can I just replace the connecting rod instead of the whole crank? On many two-strokes yes, a rod kit rebuilds the crank if the wheels are true and the journals are good. Four-stroke cranks are usually replaced as an assembly because the rod is not serviceable.
