JIMS makes the specialty tools and internal engine and transmission parts that Harley work actually requires: pinion shaft kits, clutch pushrod bearing kits, retaining rings and the pullers and installers that go with them.

Do I need the JIMS special tool for this job? For a lot of Harley engine and transmission work, yes. The tools exist because pinion shafts, bearings and retaining rings cannot be done properly without them, and improvised alternatives usually damage parts.

Are JIMS parts made for specific model years? Yes. Big Twin internals vary considerably by year and transmission type, so give us the year, model and gearbox and we will confirm the part.
