Leatt

Leatt was founded in 2001 in Cape Town, South Africa by Dr. Chris Leatt, a neurosurgeon and motorcycle racer who set out to prevent the kind of neck injury he witnessed at a race. The company sold its first neck brace in 2004.

From that original neck brace, Leatt has grown into a full protection brand offering helmets, body armor, knee braces, hydration systems and apparel for dirt bike and off-road riders. Its gear is developed in the Leatt Lab and has earned a long list of safety and product awards.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Leatt neck brace work with any helmet? Leatt braces are designed to work with most full-face off-road helmets, but check the fit at the back of the helmet and the collarbone clearance before your first ride.

What is the difference between Leatt knee guards and knee braces? Guards are soft pads that absorb impact. Braces are hinged and also limit hyperextension and twisting, which is why racers and riders returning from knee injuries choose them.

Do you offer free shipping in Canada? Yes, on orders over $279.99.
