Are the remplacement parts similar? \nCompare the replacement part to the original. \nThe remplacement part should match, including the mounting hole locations, If not: Double check the application listing with your bike.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eStep 2\u003c\/strong\u003e :Take note of the wire colors of the original stator wires and disconnect them from the wiring loom.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eStep 3\u003c\/strong\u003e: Remove the flywheel using a proper puller tool.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eStep 4\u003c\/strong\u003e: Remove the baseplate with the original coil.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eStep 5\u003c\/strong\u003e: Remove the screws that secure the coil and take the coil off.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eStep 6\u003c\/strong\u003e: Cut the original wire close to the original coil. Take a good look at how the wire is connected to the coil.\nConnections: Connect the old wire up to the new coil. Use a soldering iron and resin core solder. (the type used in electrical applications\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eStep 7\u003c\/strong\u003e: Mount the coil onto the baseplate, fit the screws using locking compound on the threads and TIGHTEN THE SCREWS SECURELY!\n\u003cstrong\u003eStep 8\u003c\/strong\u003e: Refit the stator baseplate. Ensure the wires CANNOT TOUCH THE FLYWHEEL! (especially on the inside of the flywheel)\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eStep 9\u003c\/strong\u003e: Refit the flywheel. Tighten the bolt to specified torque.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eStep 10\u003c\/strong\u003e: Fit the ignition cover.\u003cbr\u003e\n \n\u003ch3\u003eTROUBLESHOOTING:\u003c\/h3\u003e\nEngine will not start: Sometimes the source coil wires are reversed. Swap the connections, re-solder the wires and the engine should start. If the engine still does not start, and before calling technical support, performs a few basic tests:\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003e\u003col\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRe-check the connections. Make sure you carefully solder the connections.
