DRIVEN Ambassador: Krista Webber

My name is Krista Webber, I was born on the Avalon peninsula, in Newfoundland and Labrador, raised in beautiful Conception Bay South where I still reside today. I am proud graduate of the University of New Brunswick in Occupational Health and Safety as well as, a graduate from Memorial University with a bachelor’s degree in Post-Secondary Education which inspired me to pursue my career as a Safety Advisor/Instructor.

When I am not working, you are sure to find me somewhere in the great outdoors - my true love and passion. Since a very young age, all my childhood memories were spent at our cabin where I first started riding at the age of five years old on a mini moto dirt bike. I purchased my first side by side (SxS) back in 2017 when my daughter was eleven and my son was 7 months old. It was a way for us to all be together and share our love for the great outdoors. Six years later, my children both own their own quads, and we stiDRIVEN Ambassador: Krista Webberll spend most every weekend hitting the trails with family and friends. I love to explore different places and just like every Newfoundlander out there, we sure do love our boil ups. These days, I find myself cooking more over an open fire than I do on my kitchen stove. There is so much truth to the saying, “it aways tastes better outdoors”.

Although I ride all year round, my favorite time to hit the trails is in the summer. That’s when we pack up the SxS with tents, camping gear, fishing poles and set out to the great unknown. I call it the great unknown because there are so many places to see and explore. My goal for next summer will be to travel across the island portion of Newfoundland on my SxS. This island we live on is so beautiful, I can’t wait to explore it from the trails, and I haven’t even mentioned exploring in Labrador, that will be further down the bucket list.

I always try to encourage others to get out there and enjoy the trails. I have attended and helped plan many groups and their ride events.  I am also an active ATV Committee member in my community. For five years now I have helped organized a few larger ATV events. Many of these organized events typically involved some sort of community fundraiser such as donations to the Janeway or collecting food and toy donations for local charities and food banks. We usually have great turnouts, and everyone tends to have a wonderful time. It’s a great way for outdoor enthusiasts to come together and we make it for a wonderful cause.

If you love the outdoors, great company, and enjoy your meals cooked outdoors, you’ll certainly enjoy the weekend adventures that I look forward to sharing from some of my travels.
